1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that visited websites send to the user's terminal, where they are stored for retransmission on subsequent visits. Equivalent technologies (web beacons, pixels, local-storage identifiers such as localStorage) are treated under this document on the same basis as cookies.
This Cookie Policy is drafted in compliance with:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR);
- Directive 2002/58/EC ("ePrivacy") and Art. 122 of Italian D.Lgs. 196/2003;
- Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 10 June 2021 on "Cookies and other tracking tools";
- CCPA/CPRA for California residents;
- LGPD for Brazil residents.
2. Categories of cookies used
This site uses only strictly necessary cookies and, subject to express consent, anonymous analytics cookies. No profiling cookies or behavioural advertising cookies (including cross-context) are used.
2.1. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies
Necessary for the operation of the site. No consent is required under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.

2.2. Analytics cookies (anonymous, optional)
Activated only with the user's explicit consent via banner. Statistics are aggregated, anonymous and do not allow personal identification.

No third party is able to profile the user through this site.
3. Consent banner
On the first visit, a banner is displayed allowing the user to:
- Accept all cookies, including anonymous analytics;
- Reject non-essential cookies and accept only those that are strictly necessary;
- Customize the choice by category.
The user's choice is stored for 12 months in the browser's localStorage, after which the banner is re-displayed. The user may modify preferences at any time by deleting the nerion-cookie-consent-v1 entry from the browser, or via the dedicated link at the bottom of the page (under integration).
4. How to disable cookies via browser
Cookies may be disabled or deleted via browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to malfunction.
5. User rights
For personal data possibly processed through cookies, the user may exercise the rights provided by Articles 15–22 GDPR (and the corresponding CCPA/CPRA and LGPD provisions), as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes. Nerion Advisory does not sell or share personal information under the CCPA/CPRA.
7. Brazil rights (LGPD)
The rights of the titular under Art. 18 LGPD are detailed in the Privacy Policy and fully apply to the processing carried out via cookies.
8. Changes
This Cookie Policy may be updated at any time; the date of the last update is shown at the top. Substantial updates are communicated through the banner.
